The Gig Harbor Little League Baseball program includes divisions for boys and girls, League Ages 6–16. NOTE: Your player’s League Age is determined by the Little League Age Charts. 

In addition to practicing on-field fundamentals and the excitement of playing games in a competitive environment, Little League Baseball pridefully enlists the sport to strengthen its participants’ self-esteem and confidence.

BASEBALL - The Gig Harbor Little League Baseball divisions consist of the following programs:

Minors - Coach Pitch Baseball (A) (League Ages 6-7)

Minors - Coach/ Player Pitch Baseball (AA) (League Ages 8-9)

Minors - Player Pitch Baseball (AAA) (League Ages 10-11)

Majors Baseball (League Age 12)

Intermediate (50/70) Baseball (League Age 13)

Junior Baseball (League Age 14)

Senior Baseball (League Ages 15-16)

The age ranges noted indicate where players will be registered for the 2026 season. We have our registration set up for the divisions with age ranges as a general guideline, meaning most kids that age are playing at that level of play. We do recognize that some kids are capable of competing at a higher level of play than their peers "playing up", and that some kids may not be quite ready to move up to a higher level of play with the other kids their age and choose to refuse a call up to a higher division or "play down" a level from where they are registered.

When you register for GHLL, it is simply a means to get your player enrolled in our system and fees paid, and then we use Player Evaluations to determine what division of play is the best fit for them.

However, just because a player is evaluated for a different level of play than they registered for, that does not guarantee they will be drafted to a team in that division. It is dependent upon there being a spot available for them in that division of play, and it is ultimately the coaches, player agents and Executive Board's determination what the best level of play is for a player.
