To our Gig Harbor Little League Families,
The Board of Directors, after much deliberation, has made the extremely difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the 2020 spring baseball and softball season due to the current situation with COVID-19. Our Upper Division baseball players are still considering some options but AAA and Majors will not be playing. Refund request information is below and must be received by July 15th.
As much as we want (and need) baseball and softball for our players and families, we want to be sure we can do it safely and at a level of quality we all want and expect from our league. Given the amount of interaction between players, coaches, umpires, and families/spectators, we don’t believe we can offer a satisfactory and safe experience under the current situation. The need for an unprecedented amount of additional volunteer support and current physical distancing protocols regarding public gatherings also have weighed heavily in this decision. While we discussed and considered options of playing a modified season later, given the amount of unknowns we currently have (and anticipate), we ultimately decided that it would not be feasible to move forward. Words cannot describe how sad and sorry we are to lose the season. We would like to say thank you for your feedback, patience and understanding during this unprecedented and most difficult time for our league.
To all of our amazing sponsors, managers, coaches, team parents, scorekeepers, board members, parents, volunteers, and especially our players, we want to thank all of you for making our league great. Gig Harbor League has no doubt that we’ll only come back stronger and more resilient from this.

You will have one of 3 options if you respond PRIOR TO JULY 15:
- Request a refund of your registration fee, less the $20 start-up fee and any late fees paid. All refunds will be issued by check.
- Make a partial donation of your registration fee to Gig Harbor Little League. This is in addition to the $20 start-up fee.
- Donate your FULL registration fee to Gig Harbor Little League. If this option is selected, a $50 coupon code will be issued when registration opens for the 2021 season.
Please note due to volume, processing times can be expected between 1-2 months.
