2024 GHLL Field Rules

2024 GHLL Field Rules

SPECTATOR CONDUCT:
This season our league will be utilizing Junior Umpires (boys and girls ages 11-18) who have completed umpire trainings and will be working along with our league umpires at some of our games. There will be zero tolerance for parents or spectators who abuse, intimidate or harass any of these Junior Umpires.

**Any parent or spectator who yells at, harasses or abuses a Junior Umpire in any way at a game will result in the game being stopped, and the parent or spectator will be asked to leave the field or facility for the remainder of that day. The game will not resume until the parent or spectator has left the field. The parent or spectator will also be suspended from attending their player’s following practice and/or game. There will be no warnings given, this email serves as your warning.**

Additionally, there will be zero tolerance for parents or spectators who intimidate, interfere with, enter the dugout or field of play during a practice or game without authorization from the coach, physically or verbally abuse coaches, players, officials, or parents or other fans at any League practices, games or other events.

Any parent or spectator guilty of improper conduct at any game or practice may be asked to leave the field or facility and may be suspended from the following practice and/or game. Repeat violations may result in a multiple game suspension, or the forfeiture of the privilege of attending all Little League events for the duration of the season.

PARKING BEHIND BRENTIN OUTFIELD:
Parking in the Brentin Outfield - Parking Permits Required
Parking in this area is ONLY available to GHLL Field Supervisors, Umpires, Team Managers (not coaches), and whomever is managing/working the snack shop for games that day. Manager’s spouses, assistant coaches, team parents, or mangers who do not have a game scheduled for that day may not park there. Vehicles without a parking pass displayed will be towed.

UNSUPERVISED CHILDREN:
Our league and the city have received multiple complaints about unsupervised children at the fields during GHLL games throwing rocks at vehicles and nearby houses, resulting in damages. This was an issue last season, and we’ve already had complaints about it happening on Saturday, our first day of games for the season. Parents - you must supervise your children while they are at the fields. We cannot have kids playing in the parking areas, or climbing the fences to play in the woods, and we definitely can’t have kids causing damage to vehicles and houses.

PARKING LOT RULES:

  • The parking lot is ONE WAYAs you turn right off McCormick Creek Dr. (the road leading to the fields off Burnham Dr.), take the hard right into the parking lot.
  • The long drive, which goes straight up to the field entrance, is ONE WAY traffic leading OUT of the parking lot and is to remain free and clear of parked vehicles as a fire/emergency vehicle lane.
  •  NO ENTERING THE PARKING LOT & NO PARKING along the long drive of the parking lot. Vehicles parked in this area will be towed!
  • NO VEHICLE ACCESS or PARKING is allowed in the concourse of the complex(i.e. up by the tower or along the driveway leading to the concourse).

  • DO NOT PARK ON THE WOOD CHIPS! Vehicles parked in the bark will be towed.
  • DO NOT PARK IN THE FIRE LANES! The lanes have been clearly marked with red paint lines, and these areas are no parking areas at all times. Vehicles illegally parked in the fire lanes will be towed without warning.
  • Lastly, please monitor your speed as you drive through the parking lot – we have lots of families with young children visiting our facility.

STREET PARKING:
Overflow parking is allowed in the overflow lot (on your left just as you turn on to McCormick Creek Dr.) or along McCormick Creek Dr. in the MARKED PARKING SPACES ONLY. The street needs to allow for two-way traffic and access by fire/emergency vehicles. Vehicles parked in unmarked spaces run the risk of being ticketed and/or towed.

Throw trash away in the provided trash cans. This also applies to other facilities our league uses for games and practices in our community - school fields, parks, etc. Please make sure to clean up after yourselves at these facilities too.

Sunflower seeds are not allowed in dugouts, batting cages, fields or anywhere at our facility - no exceptions.

Should you have any questions regarding the above, please let us know. Also, please share the above with family and friends who may be visiting the fields and are not a part of our email distribution.
