Gig Harbor Little League is now accepting applications for Team Managers and Assistant Coaches for Teeball, Quickball, Baseball and Softball for the 2025 season and we look forward to receiving yours! Every year we have an outstanding group of volunteers but we can never have too much help. If you've thought about managing or coaching but aren't sure, rest assured that Little League International and Gig Harbor Little League have tremendous resources for running practices, understanding the rules, and making the season a great success.
To apply as a GHLL Team Manager or Assistant Coach, you must first sign up for a Volunteer Role in our system. When you are selecting a volunteer role, choose the role you're applying for (either Manager or Coach) and then you will be asked to answer some GHLL specific questions as part of the process, as well as answering questions to start the Little League background check process.
Deadline for Manager and Coach applications is January 15, 2025
Following that date, any applications will still be considered, but in order in which they were received.

If you did not sign up as a Team Manager or Coach as part of your child’s registration process, here’s how to sign up for a Volunteer Role in our system:
To apply as a GHLL Team Manager or Assistant Coach:
The Little League Volunteer Application is a three step process.
STEP 1:
You must first sign up for a Volunteer Role in our system to start the application and background check process. IMPORTANT: If you do not already have an account in our system, but the other parent does, please have them add you as an additional user on their account so you are linked to your player(s). If you create your own account, we will not be able to link you to your player’s account.
Please log in to your account on gigharborlittleleague.org and click on the Volunteer tab >> and then click on Find Volunteer Roles.
When you are selecting a Volunteer Role, choose the role you're signing up for, you may be asked to answer some GHLL specific questions as part of the process, as well as answering questions to start the Little League background check process.
*You will need to upload a copy/picture of your driver's license as part of the process, so please have that ready to go.
STEP 2: Complete the online application and sign electronically
Once you've completed Step 1, you will receive two emails - one from GHLL confirming that you have signed up to volunteer, then within a few days of signing up in our system, you will receive an email within from “GIG HARBOR LITTLE LEAGUE" ([email protected]) with the subject “GIG HARBOR LITTLE LEAGUE Background Questionnaire” This email contains a link to complete and sign the application online. It should look like this:

The Volunteer Application takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and we recommend that you double check the information you provide for accuracy to make sure there is no delay in processing your background check.
To remain in active consideration for volunteer work, you must complete the Volunteer Application within 14 days.

You will not have completed the background check application until you complete this step and sign the application electronically online.
Make sure that you receive the email confirming that you have completed the online application, it will contain your file number and it should look like this:

STEP 3: Complete the Little League Abuse Awareness Training and submit your certificate of completion.
The third part of the process is to complete the Little League Abuse Awareness Training online and submit your certificate of completion.
Click here to create an account and complete the Little League Abuse Awareness training.
When you have completed the training, please download the certificate of completion and save it as a PDF. Then log in to your account on our website, and on your main account page in the “My Roles and Certificates” box you will see your name, and next to it a pencil icon. Click on the pencil to edit your Volunteer profile, and then scroll down to the button of the page. Where it says “Training Certifications (First Aid, CPR, Concussion, Abuse Awareness)” click the blue + sign and upload the PDF of your certification, and save.
Again, you will not be considered approved to volunteer until you have completed all three steps:
- Signing up as for a volunteer role in our system,
- completing the background check online application see to you via email & signing it electronically
- completing the Little League Abuse Awareness training and uploading the certification to your volunteer profile on your GHLL account
