All-Star Selection Process
Players will be selected following the All Stars Tryouts. Players must also have shown exemplary skills, aptitude and attitude during the regular season, and be recognized for their playing excellence.
Selection of players to the All Stars teams will be determined and approved by the GHLL All-Stars Committee.
Teams are organized as follows: 8-10 year olds, 9-11 year olds, and (Majors) 10-12 year olds, Intermediates (Baseball only) Juniors and Seniors (Baseball only).
Depending on player numbers and other factors, we hope to field the following teams this year:
ALL STARS BASEBALL -
- 8-10 Year-Olds Baseball - at least one team
- 9-11 Year-Olds Baseball - at least one team
- 10-12 Year-Olds Baseball - at least one team
- Intermediates Baseball - one team
- Juniors Baseball - one team
- Seniors Baseball - one team
*Please note - All Stars teams are not structured like our GHLL teams are, there’s no AA or AAA designation in All Stars, the teams are structured solely by age ranges. A player’s eligibility for a team is based on their league age, not which division they played in during the regular season. For example, if you have an 11 year old player that played in our Majors division this season, they would be eligible to play on either the 9/10/11 year old team, or the 10/11/12 year old team.
By attending tryouts, should your player be selected to the team, you are confirming your commitment to the All-Stars team, and all expectations and requirements associated with playing All Stars.
***PLEASE DO NOT ASSUME YOUR PLAYER WILL NOT BE SELECTED FOR AN ALL STARS TEAM - EVERY WHO ATTENDS TRYOUTS IS ELIGIBLE AND MAY BE SELECTED FOR A TEAM***
